Explosions in the Sky

Explosions in the Sky formed in 1999 with three guitarists and a drummer. Their post-rock sounded has evolved expanded into a purely instrumental, symphonic style and in 2016 incorporated electronic sounds into their work, yielding the album "The Wilderness." They are behind the theme song to the 2004 movie "Friday Night Lights." Their music has been incorporated into other movies and television, including "One Tree Hill" and "CSI."

Matador recording artist Cat Power, a.k.a. Chan Marshall, has won acclaim for her unsettling, emotional songwriting. The Georgia native released her debut, 'What Would the Community Think?,' in 1996 with "Moon Pix" following in 1998. Her 2012 release "Sun," a pop album of electronic music, featured Marshall writing, playing, recording and producing the album all by herself.

The Last Waltz Revisited

Special Event
Musicians from across Colorado will perform the music of The Band and recreate their historical performance, The Last Waltz. The show became a charity event in 2006, benefiting The Denver Rescue Mission and underscoring the Thanksgiving theme of the show by donating a portion of its proceeds plus spearheading a drive for canned food and desired hygiene items.
